Ain Akrine is a village in Cadaa Al Koura in the North of Lebanon. It is on 650 meters of high. It is located on a hill up of the plain Al Koura which is planted with olive trees. This geographic location made it to be an important historical point where was built a Romanian tabernacle, which is became in the second order after the tabernacle of Baalbeck as said the Jesuit Priest Lamanus. As well, this hill was the location of the tieback militants in the seventh century in their battles against the Al Roum's army who were led by Maric and Marican. |
